Services

This optometry clinic provides you with a full array of specialized eye care services. Below are some of the highlights of what we offer. Be sure to review our full website to learn about our other eye care services.

Dry Eye Management

Dry eye syndrome is a chronic condition that often gets worse over time. It affects the surface of the eye, and can have many different causes and degrees of severity. It is a condition that is characterized by frequently dry, itchy and irritated eyes. If you have had such symptoms for more than a day or two, you should contact us.

Depending upon your exact condition, it may or may not be curable. In the majority of cases, dry eye can be managed quite well. You will usually be able to enjoy better eye comfort, fewer dry eye symptoms, and even improved vision.

Each of our doctors are experts in diagnosing and treating dry eye and related eye surface conditions. We use the very latest in ocular technology to provide you with a treatment plan that is designed to manage your dry eye condition.

Annual Eye Exams

Most people think that going to the eye doctor is just about getting a new glasses or contact lense prescription. But checking your overall eye health annually is one of the most important things that we do.

The eye exam is a yearly physical for your eyes, and you can trust us to take your eye exam seriously. We take our time to make sure that your eyes are performing at their best.

Your comprehensive eye examination will include:

  • A full medical and ocular history
  • A proper assessment of eye pressure
  • A test of visual acuity
  • Checking peripheral vision
  • Muscle balance tests
  • Determining of your current prescription

Also, you will be carefully checked for the most common eye diseases:

  • Glaucoma
  • Macular degeneration
  • Retinal vascular diseases

As with any serious disease, early detection is so important to ensure that you are able to maintain long term eye health.

Contact Lenses

There are more healthy and comfortable contact lens choices today than ever before, and our skilled professionals can recommend which is best for you.

New contact lenses are designed today with better optics, and they are easier to wear and maintain. Most people find that they also are more comfortable to wear for many hours at a time.

Whatever type of vision challenge you have, our eye care professionals can likely recommend a speciality contact lens for optimal vision results.

Vision Correction

If you want crystal clear vision without needing eye glasses or contacts, our office offers several procedures that are viable alternatives to LASIK and PRK surgeries:

  • Intraocular lens (IOL): This is a medical device that is implanted inside the eye. It replaces your natural lens when it is taken out during cataract surgery. IOLs can also be used for refractive lens exchange, which is an advanced type of vision correction surgery.
  • Implantable contact lens: This is a refractice or phakic IOL. It means that the natural lens is not removed. It is left in place and the ICL is implanted behind the iris and in front of the natural lens.

Our optometrists will work with you to determine if one of these procedures is right for you.
